Learning Context Ideas
-In a writer's workshop activity write a How To on their specialized interest. For research they need to use social blogs and networks that they already use in their free time. For those that are geeking out they already have a topic. This can also apply to children that are not geeking out and they can simply research a topic of choice. A final product can be in the form of a paper and then also an in-class presentation where the children are able to demonstrate their expertise to their peers.
